1. ZANZIBAR CITY TOUR
The tour Starts with the market where local fruits and
vegetables are sold. Continue to see the Anglican Church,
a site of of the old slave market, the State House and
the Zanzibar Museum (opened in 1925). Finally, visit the
historic stone town, famous for its narrow winding alleyways
and unique architecture ranging from the 16th century
Portuguese Fort to the colonial mansions .

2. SPICE TOUR
Drive into the hinterland to visit spice plantations.
Soak up the smells of vanilla, cloves, cardamom and a
myriad of other spices and exotic fruits. Clove trees
were introduced in Zanzibar in 1818, which formed the
main trade for the island, becoming known as the 'gold'
of Zanzibar.
You will see endless rows of coconut palms, other plants
include Cinnamon, Black pepper, Nutmeg, turmeric root,
actually growing in the plantations. Tropical fruits such
as jack fruit, custard, apple, Rambutan; Carambola can
also be seen and tasted. Visit the Kidichi Persian Baths
that were built by the first Sultan of Zanzibar named
Sultan Said Said bin Sultan in 1850 and Maruhubi Palace
Ruins built by the third Sultan of Zanzibar named Sultan
Said Baraghash Bin Said in 1880, which were built, especially
for housing 99 of his harem.

3. JOZANI FOREST
Visit the Jozani Forest, which is the last natural jungle
on the island and a natural habitat for the endangered
Red Colobus Monkey, unique to Zanzibar. There are also
different types of animals like Civit cats, Bush baby,
Leopard (very few left), Jumping shrew, Red and Grey squirrels,
and an Elephant shrew to name just some. You may have
the opportunity to see birdlife such as Bee-eaters, Flycatchers
and Tambourine. Jozani forest is a natural forest located
35km from town.

4. STONE TOWN TOUR - BY CAR
This half day starts at the House of Wonder before proceeding
to the Sultan's Palace, which now is a museum then to
the Old Indian Dispensary, Livingstone House and Market
(opened 1904), Where local fruits and vegetables are sold.
Visit the Anglican Church built 1873) on the site of the
old slave market), State House, and pass Zanzibar Museum
(1925) no longer used. On the way, pass the High- court
of Zanzibar, Tip tipu House, the first British High Commission,
Jamituri garden, and finllly end your tour the in the
old fort building (1698 - 1701).

5. PRISON ISLAND
This is also known as the Changu Island and is situated
to the west of Zanzibar Town. (30 minutes by motorboat).
The island was formerly used by a slave owner as a private
detention place for disobedient slaves. General Mathews
bought over this island to construct a jail in 1893 and
hence the name - Prison Island.
It was however never used as such but it still stands.
One can walk around to see the Giant Land Tortoise, some
of which are over 100 years old. It has a beautiful beach
where you can swim or snorkel. (Lunch is not included).

6. BAWE ISLAND
Yet another of the Island off Zanzibar town, smaller
Bawe also has breath taking marine life and is excellent
for snorkeling.

7.NORTH COAST TOUR
This tour leads you through a spice farm, Mangapwani
Slave Caves and Chambers and on to the beautiful white
sandy beaches of Nungwi, the most wonderful place to relax
and unwind after the dust and humidity of Stone town.

8. DOLPHIN TOUR
This tour takes you to the South coast of Zanzibar Island
by road. At Kizimkazi village you will board a boat that
will take you searching for dolphins, you have an 80%
of seeing them and with a bit of luck might even swim
amongst them.
