LAKE NAKURU - MAASAI MARA SAFARI: 5
DAYS/4 NIGHTS
An ideal safari to those who want to see
beautiful scenary, learn about the maasai culture and
a lot of wild game.
Day One: Lake Nakuru / Maasai Mara
Lake Nakuru lies in the Great Rift Valley
and is one of the eight lakes, which stretch the length
of Kenya. After breakfast a scenic drive along the descent
of the Great Rift Valley towards one of the world ornithological
wonders (Lake Nakuru).
The park is known for its seasonal multitudes
of pink flamingoes, numerous large mammals can be found
here i.e. leopards, rhinos and many herbivores including
waterbucks.
You will arrive in time for Lunch thereafter
a short rest before proceeding for evening game viewing.
Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill.
Day Two: L.Nakuru / Nairobi
After asumptuous breakfast we across the
Rift Valley to Maasai mara Game Reserve. Maasai Mara
is justly one of the best-known wildlife areas in Kenya.
Here the herds of elephants browse amongst rich studded
grasslands.
Thompson's gazelle, zebra, eland and many
more species of Savannah game offer a rich choice for
predatory lions, leopards and cheetahs. But even this
richness of fauna and untouched life of Africa; continuing
as it has for thousands of years, is secondary to the
Mara; s annual migration of wildebeest.
The spectacle of more than a million of
these creatures moving as a great mass is the most breathtaking
sights in nature. You will arrive in the Mara in time
for lunch. After an afternoon siesta, proceed for evening
game viewing. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Simba
Lodge or similar.
Day Two & Three: Maasai Mara
The sheer enormity of the Mara and the
abundance of exotic wildlife offer endless opportunities
for excitement. Spend two days this in natural paradise
among Zebra, giraffe, buffalo wildebeest, antelope and
gazelle.
We will encounter prides of lion resting
in the shade of acacia trees or lying low in the tall
grass, in wait for the next prey. There is a good chance
of spotting cheetah and if you are lucky, the shy leopard.
All meals and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge.
Day Five: Maasai Mara/ Nairobi
After a sumptuous breakfast we across
the Rift Valley to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon.
