13 DAYS FAMILY SAFARI
An ideal safari for a family, Sweetwaters
is the name adopted by the local people of the area
for the fresh sweet water tapped from the ground. There
varoius activities for children in this trip i.e, tennis,
swimming, golf, fishing or walking in the beautiful
gardens.
Day 1: Nairobi
Our representative will meet you at the
airport on arrival. Transfer to Norfolk hotel followed
by detailed briefing. Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant
is a gastronomic experience.
The Carnivore is famous for its succulent
steaks, barbequed dishes and game meats. After lunch
proceed to animal orphanage and giraffe center to feed
giraffes. Overnight t Norfolk hotel.
Day 2: Aberdares
Drive through rolling Kikuyu agricultural
farmlands to Aberdres Country Club nestled on the slopes
of Mweiga Hill. Afternoon activities such as horse riding
through this unspoilt paradise, tennis, swimming, golf,
fishing or walking in the beautiful gardens.
Dinner and overnight at Abedares Country
Club.
Day 3: Samburu
After breakfast set off North to Samburu
/ Buffalo springs, arriving at Samburu Intrepids Club.
After few hours of relaxation, you set out on an afternoon
game drive along the banks of the life-giving Uaso Nyiro
River and the adjoining game reserve.
The area is home to the rare and beautiful
species of Northern Kenya such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated
giraffe, gerenuk gazelle and the Somali Ostrich. Elephant,
Buffalo, lion leopard and many of the savannah game
are also found here.
Overnight in Samburu Serena. Full board.
Day 4: Samburu
Spend the full day game viewing and children's
'Adventure Club" in the reserve. Overnight at Samburu
Intrepids Club.
Day 5: Sweetwaters
After breakfast depart Samburu and drive
to the Sweetwaters tented camp. Sweetwaters tented Camp
lies in the heart of privately owned 22,000 acre game
reserve, here you will enjoy magnificent views across
the game studded plains to the snow-capped peaks of
Mount Kenya.
The camp offers its guests a unique game-viewing
platform and opportunity to watch, photograph wildlife
animals in their natural habitat, some of the animals
you are likely to encounter are elephant, buffalo, cheetah,
lion, rhino and plains game.
A good opportunity for the children to
visit the Chimp Sanctuary, the only one of it kind in
Kenya.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha
After breakfast depart Sweet waters Camp
for The Great Rift Valley Lodge which is perched on
the side of the Eburu Escarpment, overlooking Lake Naivasha
and the sweeping floor of the world's largest valley.
For those who love golf, it is a 18-hole
championship golf course, driving range, practice greens
and pro shop, other activities include panoramic freeform
swimming pool with private sunbathing garden and kids'
pool, tennis courts and bowling green. Child oriented
game walks, treasure hunts and games with the Lodges
Adventure Club.
Overnight at The Great Rift Valley Lodge
and Golf Resort.
Day 7: Maasai Mara.
Today our safari will lead us to the jewel
of Kenya parks, the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Maasai
Mara is justly one of the best-known wildlife areas
in Kenya. Here the herds of elephants browse amongst
rich studded grasslands.
Thompson's gazelle, zebra, eland and many
more species of Savannah game offer a rich choice for
predatory lions, leopards and cheetahs. But even this
richness of fauna and untouched life of Africa; continuing
as it has for thousands of years, is secondary to the
Mara, s annual migration of wildebeest.
The spectacle of more than a million of
these creatures moving as a great mass is the most breathtaking
sights in nature. You will arrive in the Mara in time
for lunch. After an afternoon siesta, proceed for evening
game viewing.
Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Sarova
Camp.
Day Eight: Maasai Mara.
After breakfast, countinue across the
floor of the Great Rift
The sheer enormity of the Mara and the abundance of
exotic wildlife offer endless opportunities for excitement.
Today we spend this Full day in natural paradise among
Zebra, giraffe, buffalo wildebeest, antelope and gazelle.
We will encounter prides of lion resting in the shade
of acacia trees or lying low in the tall grass, in wait
for the next prey.
There is a good chance of spotting cheetah
and if you are lucky, the shy leopard. All meals and
overnight at Mara Sarova Camp
Day 9: Maasai Mara/ Nairobi / Mombasa
After a sumptuous breakfast we across
the Rift Valley by road to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon.
Take an evening flight to Mombassa Island. You will
be met by our representative and transferred to Voyager
Beach Club, which is famous for fun packed Adventure
club for the children and lots of interment for the
parents.
Day 10 - 12.
Stay at the lodge for the remainder of this days at
the resort. Overnight at Voyager Beach Club
Day 13:
Depart Mombasa for Nairobi to connect
for your international flight.
