Day One: L. Baringo / Bogoria Depart Nairobi and drive North West down the awe-inspiring escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. We take a brief stop at Kikuyu escarpment viewpoint a few shots of this amazing natural phenomenon. The history of the Rift Valley dates back million of years during the great earth movements. Proceed past the towns of Mai Mahiu, Naivasha and Nakuru and on to Lake Baringo. Lunch is served thereafter at Lake Baringo Country Club. Lake Baringo is an ornithological paradise and one of the fresh waters of the Rift Valley Lakes. This is a good chance to spot the fish eagle, Hippos, Crocodile and other water birds as the locals oblivious of all these move in the same waters fishing, fetching water and reeds for domestic and commercial purposes. Depart lake Baringo for lake Bogoria game reserve via Loboi gate. This is another famed reserve for its steam jets and Hot Springs visible especially in the dry spell. It is a birdwatchers paradise with flamingoes and other birds, also home of the klipspringer and the lesser Kudu. Walk to the further end of the lake for more scenic views and steam births.
